The Requirement of Highly Skilled Dredging Crew for Maximizing Efficiency of Dredging Equipment

Abstract: Over the years CCCC-Guangzhou Dredging Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CCCC-GDC) has put a lot of effort into building a highly skilled operating crew for the expanding dredging fleet, which is one of the practical tactics in performing the company’s philosophy to be the “Most Favourable Chinese Dredging Company”.
In order to guarantee that the dredging equipment is being operated at its best, an alliance was made with IHC Merwede for designed training both cutter operator crew and staff.
This paper gives an outline of the training program for the crew and staff. It will demonstrate that, because of the creation and running of the training program, CCCC-GDC has successful resolved the contradiction between its rapidly expansion along with the technical advancement and the improvement of staff skill. CCCC-GDC sees the evidence that crews are able to comprehend the technological advancement of the new equipment and its positive effect on the operation.
Last but not least, we will see the improved employability of the trainees and notice the enhanced cohesion force within CCCC-GDC, its increased attractiveness to potential employees, as well as the consensus between the employee and the company in jointly creating enterprise value.
