Abstract: An online shared enterprise field ship performance data system was used as the basis for this paper. Composed of the shore-based central monitoring server, wireless mobile network and system communication protocol, and the intelligent devices for collecting data on all the engineering ships performance, the online system for monitoring engineering ship safety status makes comprehensive use of such mature industrial technologies as sophisticated sensors, automation and instrumentation, network communication, and computers. The shore-based central monitoring server locks and tracks each and every engineering vessel of the company through the mobile communication network, timely captures any abnormality that may happen and releases event information. The intelligent device for collecting dredging performance is responsible for gathering field equipment status and data for release after classification and processing. It is expected that this system will play an important role for technical support in such respects as ensuring and increasing the vigour of supervision on the safe production of the construction ships, improving the equipment availability, and developing long-term effective fault early warning and remote online expert fault diagnosis analyzing mechanisms.
