Abstract: There are lots of engineering equipments installed on dredgers and it is important to get status report for these equipments. Sensors and meters can transform this information into electronic signals and by using computer technology this information could be visualized on screen. For different applications, there are different kinds of sensors on board, some are made by using advanced technology, some are specially designed for dredging. This article introduces most important uses of these sensors, especially where they give a formula for calculating pipe positions.
