Abstract: As International Ports are becoming deeper and deeper, how to effectively dredge the soft rock has now become a difficult yet important issue. In this essay, the authors are going to analyse some varieties of soft rocks, discuss the performance of different kinds of dredgers, some important aspects concerning dredging soft rock and some new styles of dredging equipment. The essay will also predict the future development of dredging soft rock.
