Abstract: This paper mainly studies the several field-controlling factors which could impact the working efficiency of cutter suction dredgers on site, and provides references for improving working efficiency of cutter suction dredgers. Based on the different working conditions of cutter suction dredger, the aim was to improve the working efficiency though several methods as follows: selecting the proper dredge pump, impeller & related speed and reamer for cutter suction dredger, optimizing the layouts of pipelines, enhancing the density at the front-of-pipe, reducing wear and fuel consumption, guarantees for the working time, etc.
