Abstract: With its popularization and property improvement, the functions of the shipboard productivity meters have also increased, except as a tool for observing the production capacity of dredgers by operators. At present, the productivity meter has been applied to statistically calculate work amount in order to accurately levy fees between the parties involved in dredging engineering. Therefore, it is of great importance that the productivity meter accurately reflect the work amount. To ensure reliability, the shipboard productivity meter should be checked regularly during dredging engineering. This paper introduces some checking methods for productivity meters on cutter-suction and drag-suction dredgers, and earthwork volume correction methods in the dredging of a deepwater port.
