Abstract: Dredging materials is a kind of resource that is generated in high volume and can be utilized. Along with the government emphasis on accelerating construct coal, oil, mining, container four kinds of specialized cargo terminal and Free Trade Zone, large amounts of dredging materials were generated from ports build, as well as the deepening for basins and channels. It is estimated that the maintenance amount of the seaports would be over 100 million cubic meters each year, faced to with such high dredge amounts, it is urgent for us to solve the problem on how to take advantage of the Dredging materials efficiently. Now, a sustainable development construction principle is emphasized all over the world, the importance of environmental protection and in particular marine environmental protection is considered to be more and more important.. Currently, China has yet to establish the sectoral coordination mechanisms for beneficial use of dredging materials, and there is no clear technical norms to be followed. In this paper, through the reference to the status of the beneficial use of Dredging materials analysis for countries and desirable experience, the proposed the establishment of isms for the beneficial use of Dredging materials and rationalization proposals are made. Also the rational deployment of resources, constantly improving work efficiency and reducing the dredging costs of the dredging base on the rule of environment protection and achieving the purpose of the sustainable development for the national economy.
