Abstract: Combining practical projects, this paper studies the optimization of the transportation output of a Hydraulic Dredger by the method of operations research. It gives a detailed analysis on the theory of dynamic relation between the energy provided by the slurry pump system and the energy consumed by the discharge pipeline; the mutual constraints among the concentration, flow, vacuum, pressure discharge, rotation rate of pump and other technical parameters of the hydraulic system and the value changes of the physical restricted conditions with the changes of technical parameters as critical flow velocity and NPSHr. On this base, the conclusion of the dynamic equilibrium status and the output difference of each status are obtained, seeking to optimize the operating parameters to identify operating status of higher production, so as to provide reference for dredging operations.
