Abstract: Investigation on polluted sediment in north lake-bay area in Erhai, using GPS to precisely locate and special soil sampler to borrow was made. Then it was analyzed for deposit features and chemical index of sediment by methods of field sampling, laboratory soil tests and chemical analysis. The Erhai lake and the other lakes are contrasted and analyzed for TN, TP and organic matter content in project area, this was evaluated for horizontal and vertical distribution features to TN, TP and organic matters content. Based on potential ecological hazard index method, it had been evaluated for potential ecological hazard degree on heavy-metal content, and then a suggestion is made that if it might be feasible to take environmental dredging to the lake sediment.
