Abstract: Binhai Series Cutter Suction Dredger is huge single-pile double-anchor-and-four-cable positioning dredger that is featured with low construction cost, professional expertise, and high productivity. It is self-designed and self-built by Tianjin Dredging Company for the construction of Tianjin Port, which is in a situation of an unsheltered water construction site, long-distant dredged material transportation and soft soil. To save tilting time, single-pile positioning design is adopted, which leads to a relatively complicated pile positioning system, on which the two designs of rectangle and circular cross-section anchor boom applied are based. Given this, the thesis gives a detailed analysis of the stress feature of the anchor boom structure during the construction process. Two kinds of design schemes of 3-Dementional finite element model are created and are given the calculation on the static and dynamic features. The differences between the two are compared in the aspect of stress, displacement, modality and resonance check, and an analysis on the cause of the differences is further conducted. The result proves the application of the design of the rectangle cross-section anchor boom on the Binhai Series vessel is more technically and economically advisable and is worth popularization.
