Abstract: This paper, taking the dredging project of Tianjin Port as an example, introduces the high-efficiency and high-precision multi-beam survey approach on the computer-software-based platform based on LRK DGPS positioning system and multi-bean survey system. This approach adopts the currently internationally advanced technologies in the marine surveying, like: LRK 3D positioning, multi-beam survey, elimination of time-delay in navigation by using PPS (Pulse-Per-Second), tide gauge recorder, the remote control of power of reference station, the data transmission through wireless network and so on. The utilization of these technologies can optimize data processing method of field work and office work and enable the both to be conducted at same time and finished almost simultaneously. The approach improves the operation efficiency of the multi-beam survey to the maximum and the survey result can be submitted once the field survey is completed, which gives strong technical support to the dredging operation.
