Abstract
"(Article in Chinese only) - the deep-water high precision suction head is designed for the requirement to desilting on the gravel bed after channel dredging in project of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge. Trough physical modelling test,the move of gravel of several diameters under water flows of different velocity has been researched in order to achieve accuracy of desilting. The structure of suction head is designed to satisfy the requirement of incipient velocity of the gravel cushion. The suction head is characterized with a shape of a Chinese character. There are two suction mouths on the opposite side in horizontal direction,using a rotatable plate to allow the suction from either mouth or both suction mouth. A jet water structure is designed under suction head to break up high density sludge. Finally, the analog-digital simulation is made to analyze the outside and inside flow field, estimating the range of the suction head and optimize it, improving operation efficiency."
