Young CEDA would like to invite you to visit the New Lock in Terneuzen where DEME is one of the partners in the joint venture Sassevaart.
The day will start with a nice presentation about the phases and building of the lock, followed by a visit to one of the biggest locks in the world, which is 427m long, 55m wide and has a depth of 16.44m.
The North Sea locks at Terneuzen are the gateway to the ports of Terneuzen and Ghent and provide a shipping connection between the Netherlands, Belgium, and France. The complex is part of the Rotterdam-Paris shipping route.

After the event, participants are free to visit the Information Centre about the locks at the city centre, at your own cost.
