Theme of CEO Forum, Thursday: 16.15-17.15
New this year in CEDA Dredging Days programme is the CEO Forum: internationally renowned leading CEOs representing project owners, regulators, dredging companies and equipment manufacturers will present their views and discuss them with conference delegates.
The subject of the CEO Forum is:
The outlook for the dredging industry for the coming years in the light of the recent economic developments.
Issues under this theme are as follows:
- Impact of economic downturn on project investment decisions
- Solvability of clients
- Perspectives for up-picking of markets, region by region
- New emerging markets
- Competition, pricing levels, etc.
Members of the CEO Panel will be:
- Bert Kips, managing director, IHC Beaver Dredgers, the Netherlands
- Peter Lundhus, managing director of Femern Baelt, Denmark
- Koos van Oord, president of the IADC, the Netherlands
- José Fernandez Garcia, European Commission, Directorate-General for Energy and Transport, Maritime Transport & Ports Policy; Maritime Security, Belgium.
The discussion will be moderated by Professor Cees van Rhee (Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands), Chairman of the CEDA Dredging Days Papers Committee.
Participants of the conference are invited to think in advance about points they would like to raise during the discussion.

It is still possible to register. To register online click here. Please note: Online registration is open until 12.00 am on Tuesday 3 November 2009.
You can also register on site during the conference days. The registration desk opens at 8.00 am on both days. It is located at the entrance to the foyer of the Conference Centre on the second floor.
