CEDA - IADC book to be translated into Russian

Environmental Aspects of Dredging (ed. Nick Bray) will be translated into Russain language. Work will start right after the summer. The plan is to use the book in university curricula and in practical monitoring work.
A special half-day workshop will be organsied in co-operation with the Russian State Hydrometerorological University on 12 October this year in St. Petersburg, to present the book the university professors and lecturers. Professor Shilin, the driving force behind this workshop said that the book is "extremely interesting to Russian educators from a number of universities of St. Petersburg and North-West Russia - St. Petersburg State Polytechnical university, State university of Petrosavodsk, Murmansk technical university and other. Professors and students from these universities will join the workshop for the discussion of the book.
Introduction to the book will be done by Nick Bray(Dredging Research, UK) and Stefan Aarninkhof (Boskalis, the Netherlands).
This special workshop will be followed by the two-day seminar "Eco-friendly Dredging in the Modern World" organised by CEDA in co-operation with the Russian State Hydrometeorological University (RSHU) and the St. Petersburg State Polytechnical University (SPbSPU)
