CEDA-NL elects new Secretary

Simon Burgmans has been elected Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Dutch Section of CEDA during the recent Annual General Meeting of the Section. He graduated in 2003 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Delft University of Technology, and is now Manager Dredging Research at Van Oord Dredging and Marine Contractors.
Simon will replace Jan Vrijhof, Manager Operations Department of Van Oord Dredging and Marine Contractors, who served as Secretary of CEDA-NL for more than eight years. Jan organised and contributed to many successful meetings of CEDA-NL in these years. He has been active in attracting young professionals to the profession and CEDA in particular. Jan’s successor on the Executive Committee, Simon Burgmans, a young professional himself is a testament to the success of Jan’s work in this area.
