CEDA is very pleased with the result of the first ever CEDA conference in the Middle East entitled: "Dredging and Sustainability: How wide is the Gulf?"
The conference, organized in conjunction with the Ship and Port + Europort Maritime, International Ship Building, Port and Marine Technology Exhibition, was held at the Doha International Exhibition Centre on 6th and 7th of May 2008.
The presentations given by renowned international experts were of very high quality. They covered a broad range of topics including theoretical papers on hydraulic and geotechnical aspects of the design of man-made islands and detailed case studies of projects in the Arabian Gulf. To quote one participants: “The sequence of presentations was very effective with subjects linked to each other and allowing an excellent flow of topics.”
