CEDA invites experts to join the Working Group on Ecosystem Services

Ecosystem services is a concept that is gaining increasing attention as a means to link ecosystems and development goals. The CEDA Environment Commission (CEC) decided to set up a CEDA Working Group (WGES) to explore the subject in the context of dredging.

WGES is to produce a CEDA Information Paper to contribute to the wider debate on the application of ES to dredging and marine construction projects. This could help bring the discussion on ES from an academic to an applied level. The draft Terms of References for WGES can be downloaded from below.

CEDA members are invited to express interest in participating in the CEDA Working Group on Ecosystem Services (CEDA WGES).

The costs incurred in connection to taking part in the Working Group will have to be borne by the participating expert's company / organization.

Interested experts are kindly requested to provide the following information to the CEDA Secretariat by 25 April 2012 the latest: Name and affiliation, e]mail address, brief description of relevant experience, brief curriculum vitae.

All other aspects being equal candidates from CEDA Corporate Member companies will be given preference.

Membership in the CEDA Working Group on Ecosystem services will be confirmed by 2 May 2012 the latest.
