Young CEDA Inspiring the Next Generation

A small crowd of students recently (8 June 2016) defied the good weather, and an afternoon in the sunshine, to find out more about working in the dredging industry. The Young CEDA event, on the 8th of June, was held in the Aula of the Delft University of Technology, and organised to help inspire students and young professionals about careers in dredging.Young CEDA NL 2016-06-08 delft

The gathered audience heard from Michel Zuiderwijk (Witteveen & Bos), Auke Terlouw (Van Den Herik) and Peter de Looze (HAL Maritiem). The three invited speakers shared their experiences of working in the industry in the early phase of their careers. The intimate group size allowed for a more interactive atmosphere and a great discussion inspired by the presentations and questions posed by the seminar chair, Prof. Dr. Ir. Cees van Rhee.

The Young CEDA board would like to thank TU Delft, for sponsoring the event, and the guest speakers and chair Cees Van Rhee. We would also like to thank the participants for joining the event despite the good weather. We hope to see you and many others in one of our future Young CEDA events.
