Every year, we organise several international technical meetings on a wide variety of topics of dredging and marine construction in various locations within our geographical region (Africa, Europe and the Middle-East).

Conferences organised with regular intervals

CEDA Dredging Days conference and exhibition: CEDA’s trademark conference is organised biennially in the odd numbered years in conjunction with the Europort Maritime exhibition at Ahoy Rotterdam, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The conference is attended by some 230+ participants, scientists and practitioners representing the whole cross section of CEDA’s membership. The conference features approximately 20+ peer reviewed technical presentations in plenary sessions, panel discussion, technical exhibition, technical visit, reception and partners programme. In addition to the biennial CEDA Dredging Days, CEDA or its Regional or National Sections may organize CEDA Dredging Days at a variety of locations.

Environmental seminars: These are proposed by the Environment Commission of CEDA (CEC) and are held in different countries. Orginised in co-operation with a local university, these seminars are normally  linked to one of the regular biannual meetings of CEC. The technical program is tailored by current environmental issues relating to dredging in the host country. The seminars are attended by 80 – 120 experts in a good mixture from and outside the host country. Speakers include CEC members and guests and local specialist. Contract Management for Dredging and Marine Construction Workshop: First organised in 2006 in co-operation with IADC and ICE, these workshops aim to develop amongst all contracting partners a constructive approach to the planning, design and execution of dredging and maritime construction projects. With its diverse membership, CEDA is well positioned to organise such an event with an active and constructive participation of all project owners, consultants and dredging companies. World Dredging Congresses (WODCONs), organised by WODA, are held every three years. WODA delegates the responsibility of the organisation of the World Dredging Congresses to the association in whose region the congress will take place. When organized by one of the other two WODA associations (EADA or WEDA), CEDA is responsible for all aspects of the management of the CEDA region papers including selection, review, communication with authors etc. More

Occasional, one-time events
